Spiritual Life & Care

Cultivating an inner spiritual life is what deepens our relationship to the Divine and to one another within community.  Sunday morning classes for adults include a lectionary-based study and a video or book-based class that often looks at Progressive Christian perspectives on the Bible & the faith, zoom options are available. Our community is diverse and therefore we try to accommodate folks wherever they are on their journey of faith, offering them the tools they need in order to deepen faith and discipleship.

 

Sunday Classes

OPTIONS

  • The J.O.Y. class utilizes a Lectionary study which looks at the assigned Scripture readings for that Sunday. This class meets in the fellowship hall. If you have questions or would like a zoom link, contact Frank Bibb.

  • The Exploring the Spirit class utilizes a variety of resources for their exploration of Christian sprituality and service. This class meets in the conference room. If you have questions or would like a zoom link, contact Tom Sipp.

A catered dinner ($7/person) is served from 5:30-6:30 pm followed by activites, handbells, and choir rehersal.

TUESDAY

Meets at 1:00 pm. Prayers are centered on those that have asked for prayer as well as prayer for our local community, country, and world. Contact Beth Williams

WPC Bible Study

Fellowship

Pints with the pastors

Going out with friends or even colleagues after a long day or just to catch up is the norm for many. But what about grabbing a pint with your pastor? A place where you might bring a friend who is “allergic” to Church? A place where any of the difficult questions about religion, about faith, about God can be asked? Or just a place where we can think about community, expansive community, as Jesus demonstrated it. Contact Ken Davis.
